Bio
This is an IC Journal for a character within the Camarilla's Global Requiem Chronicle. As this is a personal journal, the Code of Conduct is not in effect. All information is strictly out of character... this is for your entertainment and my insight.

However, anyone who cares to dig a bit, and knows a bit about his past, might be able to find this obituary in some on-line database:

Matthew Joseph Catonelli, 33, Former Green Beret
October 3rd, 1994

Matthew Catonelli, a former Green Beret in the United States Army who had earned a Silver Star during the Gulf War, died after being struck by a car in Durham, NC. He was 33.

The native of Pittsburg, PA, had been leaving a local sports bar after watching Monday Night Football. Although having recently suffered a divorce and medical separation from the military, the life-long soldier was in supposedly good spirits. Friends say he left shortly before midnight, and proceeded to walk back to his apartment, six blocks away. He was victim of a hit-and-run shortly afterward. He was taken to Durham Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Doctors said he suffered severe trauma to the face and upper torso, and likely died instantly. Police are still looking for the driver.

Catonelli joined the military in order to pay for college in 1978, and served with distinction for 15 years. After 3 years with the 75th Infantry in Fort Lewis Washington, he was selected to join the prestigious 7th Special Forces Group, more commonly known as the Green Berets. After extensive operations in South America, he was transferred to Fort Bragg, NC. He fought in OPERATION Desert Storm, and earned the Silver Star on a classified mission.

After the war, Catonelli was diagnosed with a form of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and was undergoing treatment at the Duke University Health System.

He is survived by his two children, Cody and Sarah, his mother Erin, his sisters Emily and Dara, and his brother David.
